Origins of the Newton Family
The Newton family is an ancient Cheshire family that traces back to the 13th century (I don't have this trace, but am assured that it exists). From this family seated in Cheshire, several branches stem. One branches off in the 16th century, when Rycharde Newton moved to Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim, Ireland. Another branch moved to Lincolnshire. The Lincolnshire branch of Newtons were ancestor to Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727).
Rycharde Newton, who moved to Ireland, is recorded as being townclerk of Carrickfergus in 1595-1596. I personally have not been able to discover whom his father was, as there are so many Rycharde Newtons christened in Cheshire.
The Newton family motto is 'Faveat fortuna', meaning 'May fortune favour.'

Killowen is in the barony of Coleraine, where his Uncle Thomas Newton resided. As none of his uncles had children this is probably the correct Henry Newton, unless Henry's Uncle, Henry Newton, also resided at Coleraine and lived to a great age. (NOTE: There seem to have be several Newton wills in Coleraine, these Newtons are probably related, but it puts doubt onto whether or not it is this Henry Newton being referred to.
